I got the chance to join the Junior WRC team as a guest at the Acropolis Rally of Gods in Greece in September 2022.
This was my first trip overseas, and wow, what an eye opening experience!
It was exhilarating to watch my first WRC live event. Honestly I was completely blown away by the amazing cars, the setup of the service park and the professional team pits.
To see the M-SPORT Fiesta Rally3 in person and in action was mindblowing, since this is the car I will be racing this year.
During the rally I had the chance to do an interview with Colin Clark from DirtFish. We chatted about the Rally Star programme and how I came to win the African Continental Final. Watch the interview here.
After the Rally I was lucky enough to join M-SPORT Poland for a Rally3 development test with Ken Torn and Max McRae. I spent lots of time in the passenger seat with these talented drivers behind the wheel pushing the Rally3. It was really good for me to see the capabilities of this car and gain insight into what characteristics to build in myself before the race season starts. Learning from the drivers and mechanics, as well as meeting and spending time with Colin McRae's father and former British Rally Champion, Jimmy McRae, made this a really inspiring and unforgettable experience.
All in all this was a super-special trip and got me even more pumped to start my 2023 season in the Rally3 in Europe.
